PROGRAM OVERVIEW

10 Til 2 is a community-based youth development program designed to teach children ages 5–12 practical life skills that build confidence, independence, responsibility, discipline, and healthy habits. Held every Saturday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at local community centers, the program creates a safe, positive, educational, and engaging environment where children can learn skills they can use at home, at school, and throughout their lives. 10 Til 2 recognizes that education extends beyond the classroom. Children also need opportunities to learn how to care for themselves, maintain their surroundings, prepare food, communicate effectively, solve problems, and respond appropriately to everyday situations. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, group instruction, mentoring, and age-appropriate challenges, participants will learn by doing.

WHAT CHILDREN WILL LEARN

Program activities will rotate throughout the year and include cooking and food preparation, sewing and basic clothing repair, personal hygiene and grooming, cleaning and household responsibilities, laundry and clothing care, organization, basic money management, communication, manners and etiquette, teamwork, conflict resolution, decision-making, goal setting, leadership, first aid, emergency preparedness, and age-appropriate survival and safety skills. Children may also participate in gardening, nutrition education, fitness activities, arts and crafts, community service, career exploration, anti-bullying education, character development, and other enrichment activities that encourage personal growth.​

SATURDAY PROGRAM EXPERIENCE

Each Saturday begins with breakfast and positive group engagement, followed by structured life-skills instruction and hands-on learning. Participants rotate through activities based on age and skill level, allowing younger children to learn basic responsibilities while older participants develop greater independence and leadership abilities. Lunch is also provided to every participant before afternoon activities and dismissal.

The program will utilize trained staff, volunteers, mentors, community professionals, parents, local businesses, and partner organizations to expose children to different skills, careers, and positive role models.​

OUR PURPOSE

The goal of 10 Til 2 is simple: prepare children for life. By introducing essential skills at an early age, the program seeks to develop young people who are confident, respectful, responsible, resourceful, healthy, and prepared to make positive decisions. Through partnerships with community centers, schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, sponsors, and families, 10 Til 2 can provide children with four meaningful hours every Saturday that can positively influence the rest of their lives.

A Life Line is a community and economic development program designed to provide critical support to churches and businesses that are struggling financially, operationally, or organizationally. Many churches and small businesses have strong missions, loyal communities, and valuable services but lack the financial resources, professional expertise, strategic planning, or management systems necessary to remain sustainable. A Life Line serves as a support system that helps these organizations identify their challenges, stabilize their operations, develop sustainable solutions, and create a clear path toward long-term growth.

Our Mission

The mission of A Life Line is to strengthen churches and businesses by providing access to financial guidance, business development, organizational restructuring, professional resources, and strategic support. Rather than simply providing temporary assistance, the program focuses on helping organizations correct the underlying problems that caused financial or operational distress and become stronger, more efficient, and self-sustaining.

How The Program Works

Organizations entering A Life Line begin with a comprehensive assessment of their current condition. The program reviews areas such as finances, debt, revenue, expenses, leadership structure, operations, property obligations, staffing, marketing, community engagement, and opportunities for growth. Based on the assessment, an individualized Stabilization and Growth Plan is developed.

Services May Include:

• Financial Assessment & Recovery: Budget analysis, cash-flow planning, debt-management strategies, expense reduction, financial controls, and revenue development.

• Business & Church Operations: Organizational restructuring, policies and procedures, leadership development, staffing evaluations, and operational improvements.

• Funding & Capital Resources: Assistance identifying grants, donations, sponsorships, investors, financing opportunities, and other appropriate sources of capital.

• Revenue Development: Creating additional income opportunities, expanding services, improving fundraising, developing partnerships, and identifying underutilized assets.

• Property & Facility Strategies: Evaluating mortgages, leases, refinancing opportunities, facility expenses, property utilization, and potential revenue-producing uses of existing facilities.

• Marketing & Community Engagement: Strengthening branding, digital presence, outreach, membership or customer development, and relationships with community partners.

• Professional Support Network: Connecting participating organizations with qualified accountants, attorneys, financial professionals, business consultants, marketing specialists, and other professionals when needed.

The Life Line Approach

A Life Line operates through three primary stages: Rescue, Rebuild, and Grow. During the Rescue stage, immediate financial and operational problems are identified and addressed. During the Rebuild stage, stronger financial controls, leadership systems, revenue strategies, and organizational structures are established. During the Grow stage, the organization receives assistance developing new revenue, expanding programs or services, building strategic partnerships, and creating a long-term sustainability plan.
